NEWS RELEASE May 31, 1996
NAPERVILLE, IL May 31, 1996 —Wizdom Systems, Inc., a leading provider of BPR (Business Process Reengineering) consulting and training services and software products, announced today its part of the winning team of companies selected last week for a $1.13 billion information technology program at the Department of Transportation (DOT). Wizdom Systems, Inc. is home based in Naperville, IL and its Federal Division, based in Alexandria, Virginia, will team with BTG, Inc. of Vienna, Virginia for this contract. The company owner and founder, Dennis E. Wisnosky, said he was delighted with the news, even though the real competition has only begun.
The Information Technology Omnibus Procurement (ITOP) has been hailed as an example of streamlined government procurement contracting procedures. Under ITOP procedures, Wizdom, as member of one of the winning teams has been approved to market it’s products and services to the various agencies of DOT. Each agency is authorized to buy services without going through a formal contract bidding process.
“These simplified procurement rules and procedures will permit us to provide our government customer exactly with what he wants at a very competitive rate,” says Wisnosky. “We still must compete our services and products, only now we can do it much more efficiently and at a lower overall cost to the ultimate customer, the U.S. taxpayer.”
This is what Wizdom Systems is really all about,” continues Wisnosky. “Doing things smarter; eliminating unnecessary steps that only serve to add on layers of bureaucracy and oversight. All taxpayers should be happy to see the type of initiative that ITOP represents.”
