June 16th and 17th - The Koop Foundation sponsored an industry day to show off their progress in the NIST Health Care Advanced Technology Program (ATP) known as HOLON (Health Object Library Online). The purpose of the HOLON project is to develop standard approaches for Physicians and other health care professionals to access all healthcare information anywhere at anytime.

Wizdom's role in HOLON was to develop middleware - the actual software which makes translation between different applications possible. Wizdom used a standard known as HL7 to accomplish this. With Wizdom software, the developer wanting to integrate two applications simply fills in a table. Wizdom software does the rest. Initial response to the Wizdom approach was outstanding.
