The overall plan encompasses identifying, developing, implementing, and operating future technology requirements. AER's first segment is to have the current and desired [future] operations be reviewed and documented to produce the "As Is" and "To Be" Enterprise Architectures using the Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF). The second segment includes the upgrade or replacement of information management technology systems to make the "To Be" Enterprise Architecture operational.
