Naperville, IL, January 7, 2010 - The Railroad Retirement Board (RRB), a
Chicago-based federal agency managing the unemployment, illness, and retirement
benefits for 17,000 federal railroad employees, recently chose Wizdom Systems,
Inc. to conduct the "Infrastructure Services Center (ISC) People & Processes
Study."
Through this study, Wizdom will analyze current RRB ISC practices in light of
industry best practices and make recommendations for improving IT process
performance and reducing IT process risks. Key to the recommendations will be
establishing process performance metrics that go beyond improving the IT processes
from a technical point of view, to establishing process performance metrics that
clarify the IT processes' value from a business point of view.
The RRB IT executive management expect to use Wizdom's recommendations to:
- Improve information systems dependability and security,
- Identify and assist in the implementation of an optimal organizational
structure,
- Achieve optimal capability and use of existing and future IT staff, and
- Maximize organizational flexibility and adaptability to change.
