WIZDOM TRAINING: Course #10:
PROCESS PORTALS FOR BUSINESS BREAKTHROUGH

Interested in this course! Check back for the latest schedule, or email us to set up a course at our location or yours.

Course Description:
Our newest 1-day workshop shows you how everyone's computer desktop will be organized for work in the future. Process portals are for customers, employees, and business partners, including suppliers.

Process portals are the display of centralized and categorized information accessible through a browser. They are the gateway to any corporate database or application that may enhance your job-related decision-making skills. Their obvious benefits to your organization include improved productivity, lowered costs, and, potentially, new revenue streams.

During the course of one day, Wizdom's facilitators will help you determine what type of portal you need and you will leave with a preliminary design. The day's activities includes the answer to these questions:

bullet Why do I need a process portal?

bullet Which type of portal fits my needs best?

      bullet Content Portals

      bullet Functional Portals

bullet Process Portals, a collection of tools for workflow, collaboration, research and whatever else you use to do your job each day. This is a web site for the workers.

bullet  What do portals look like? How do I use a process portal? Wizdom will provide working examples of process portals in business, education and government.

bullet How do I design my process portal? Wizdom's facilitators will show you the process analysis and workplanning tools you need to begin the design of your own portal.
At the completion of the workshop you will discover the true reason that portals are becoming so popular in concept if not in operation. Portals are becoming a highly customized, personal knowledge management tool that everyone can use. They have the potential to help all levels of the organization avoid the rework of intellectual capital on an everyday basis.
