Meet the Trainer!
Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) Training

Now offering DoDAF 2.0!

In our hands-on 2-3 day DoDAF workshop you will use a comprehensive methodology for designing operational, technical, and systems architecture views and products consistent with the DoDAF guidelines. In the workshops, you will apply DoDAF compliance concepts and principles to design your own DoDAF-compliant system. You will use the most up-to-date tools and techniques for creating and evaluating required architectural products. You will learn strategies proven successful for saving time while avoiding costly pitfalls when meeting DoDAF requirements.

New DoDAF 2.0 focuses on architecture data rather than on developing individual products. It achieves this by planning, developing, managing, and governing architectures through a coherent, structural model.

Workshop Outline

  1. FEA Advanced Policy
    1. Federal Transition Framework
    2. Performance Improvement Life Cycle
  2. Federated Architectures
  3. DoDAF 1.5 and Beyond
  4. DoD Architecture Registry System
  5. Specific views or topics to demonstrate

Purpose

  • To demonstrate the practical application of the DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF)
  • To provide hands-on experience leading to learning how to develop complete, defensible architecture based on the DoDAF
  • To be coupled with the Federal Enterprise Architecture (FEA)
  • To meet the requirements of the Clinger-Cohen Act (CCA)
  • To understand and master DoDAF 1.5/2.0

Objectives

Attendees of this seminar will:

  • Have seen the purpose, definition and context of every DoDAF product
  • Have a working knowledge of a DoDAF project management methodology proven to be successful
  • Have participated on a DoDAF project team developing products essential for an integrated architecture and necessary for the JCIDS and the NCOW
